Over at Adrian's place, he has created a not super scientific but still super interesting list of the most cited 'humanists' who wrote and lived in the last century. The number one hit will surprise exactly no one. Go check it out. He has also announced a contest (which I am currently winning) of finding names who are not on his original list.
